Welcome to Podcasting and Platforms. My name is Chris Spangle. And I don't have any fancy intro music. I'm not even really sure what this podcast is about other than I want to teach other people how to do podcasting, and how to build a great platform. And there's a million shows where somebody gets on and they kind of talk about the news and podcasting, and maybe they have some tips for you, I wanted to do something a little bit different. So I plan to make this money generating career building podcast, I want to build courses, I want to build a website, I want to not just do a podcast, I want to do a lot with this. I've just been thinking for years about this, and not knowing how to do the podcast, I was watching a new show on HGTV called renovation Island, and they basically go to this island and they completely rebuild everything, you see all of it. And the whole time, you're just thinking, Man, I want to go visit that island.

And I think there's something about seeing the building of a platform of a podcast that will help you understand how to do it the right way. So what I want to do with this show, and with subsequent videos and teaching materials, because I don't even really know where this thing's going to end up. Like I'm a big Steven Covey fan like you begin with the end in mind, I don't really know where the end is. So what I want to do through this whole show is to show you step by step how I'm building podcasting platforms, just like that HDTV show, so you know where it starts, you hear where it starts, you see the beginning of it. And you will understand in a different way, how that house was built than if you just see the built house. So every week, I'm going to take you through the building of podcasting and platforms, show you how I'm doing it talk to you about how I am conceptualizing this, I'm showing you my whiteboard, I'm Amanda, I'm going to talk to the people that I'm working with on this project people like my graphic designer, and you may even hear from the future Mrs. And as we talk about how this podcast impacts our family. Now I have done a couple things.

Obviously I had to set up the website, and I had to design the logo, and I had to come up with the name and I had to set up the hosting. But I'm going to rewind and kind of show you all that stuff. But long term, I'm going to take you through every step so you can set up your own podcast and your own platform and build what I've been able to build and I hope you learned a lot from it. So make sure you check out podcasting platform.com Join our email, subscribe to this podcast.
